Miss Marwa ARAAR, received a Masters Degree in English for Communication and graduated from the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis and currently is in charge of communication, prospection and Business development in the first IT Oriented Technopark in Tunisa “Smart Tunisian Technoparks” and known for “Elgazala Technopark ”.

Her professional interests focus mainly on the promotion of innovative business in the ICT sector through detecting and selecting innovative projects, Market access assistance, commercialization support and technology transfer.

She is also responsible for S2T Business Events Management such as (Demo days/ challenges/ B2B meetings...) In addition to her contributions to Startups assistance as a Business developer in Elgazala Business Incubator.

Khaled Ben Othman

Eng Khaled Ben Othman was born in Tripoli Libya 1970. He occupied the post of assistant in the university of science 1995-1996.He served as chief of the Libyan delegation in promoting rebuilt Libya congress et expo in Jordan 2011-2012. He also helps in promoting Libyan industry throw partnership between investors.

He also presented Libya in economic African Europeen Congress in Poland 2014 He served as CEO of El Barik Holding, member of Libyan business men council 2005, member of Tripoli chamber of commerce et industry 2011, an economic consultant for the Libyan chamber of commerce et industry, the president of the Libyan council of oil et gas et renewable energy, the president of energy committee in Libyan business men council 2012-2014, vice president of Libya et china business men council.

Studied geology in Tripoli university of science 1991-1995, he got a degree on mathematic from high school of administration 1996-1998.

Mohamed GHORBEL

Director of Gas Studies and Planning STEG

Mohamed GHORBEL, born in 1970, is an Engineer graduated from the National School of Engineers of Tunis (ENIT) in Electromechanical Engineering in 1993 and in Mechanical Engineering in 1996.

Engineer at the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG), since January 1997, he has worked in the gas activity and more specifically in the field of gas studies and planning, of which he currently holds the position of Director.

For more than twenty years of experience, he participated in almost all national strategic studies related to the development of gas infrastructure and the security of Tunisia’s natural gas supply.

Mohamed BEN HADJ KACEM

Aged 62, Mr. Mohamed Ben Hadj Kacem is an engineer (1983) in Tunisia and graduated from a doctorate in a French school of Nantes (ISHmer) in 1987 through a specialization diploma in marine cultures at the University of Caen in Normandy in 1984

Having worked at the Agency for the Promotion of Agricultural Investments, he masters the technical and economic assessment and monitoring of projects in several sectors including fishing, aquaculture and agrifood.

In this capacity, he contributed to the establishment of several sectoral development policies and contributed to their implementation.
He has also mastered the field of promotional actions (participation and organization of trade shows) in Tunisia or abroad; having participated and overseen the organization of the SIAT show for 4 editions,
Led delegations of businessmen in France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Greece, Mauritania, Algeria and Moscow.

He participated in the management committee and then chaired the APIA Staff Association for 10 years. He left the public service with the grade of general engineer and the function of central director of the Central Administration
This gave him experience of associative work. Retired in 2018, he set up with two partners the company Xtrade For Events specialized organizing economic promotional events aimed at contributing to the development of Tunisia.
He also acquired the status of court expert and consultant in the fields of fisheries and aquaculture.

Ali Gaaya

Ali Gaaya graduated as a Geologist Engineer (Nancy, France), followed by an Engineering degree in Geophysics from the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP, Paris, France).He is a successful and experienced Geoscientist who has been involved with Tunisian and International oil and gas exploration and development projects for over 40 years.

His previousemployers include Teico, Range Petroleum, P.A Resources, Etap, Total, and Serept. He has an extensive experience in a wide range of onshore and offshore Petroleum Provinces, in North Africa, the North Sea and West Africa, and occupied various technical and managerial positions. Mr Gaaya spent 10 years as a Senior Geoscientist, working for the French Major Elf-Total subsidiaries in Norway, the Netherlands and France. He was also an Exploration Manager and a key person in the team that successfully contributed to the development of PA Resources in Tunisia, between 2000 & 2007.

Through the efforts of the team, P.A Resources has added new assets and reserves to their portfolio, and made a new oil reservoir discovery within an aging onshore field. Since 2000, Mr Gaaya works as an international Consultant andgives several G&G lectures at different engineering schools, including training in applied Geophysics & unconventional hydrocarbons & reservoirs at Ogim (Oil & Gas Institute of Monastir,Tunisia).Mr Gaaya is a member of several National & International professional Associations, including EAGE, SPE, ATPG, ATUGE, participates as a speaker in various Conferences, and publishes numerous scientific papers addressing various technical topics, including “shale Oil & Gas and Unconventional Reservoirs”.

He realized, as a co-author, a book entitled “Rétrospective du secteur tunisien de l’énergie” published in 2018, which constitutes an important reference in the energy sector, and which will be updated regularly.

Naoufel Khabthani

Mr. Naoufel Khabthani is a petroleum engineer and hold an Executive Master of Business Administration.

He’s Deputy General Manager of SMIP ( Société de Maintenance d’Installations Pétrolières ), a service company in the oil and gas operating in Tunisia and North Africa; and a General Manager of ITC ( International Training Center ) a safety training center providing HSE training for offshore and onshore in the oil and gas activities.

Mr. Naoufel Khabthani started his career in 1989 with SEREPT ( Société de Recheches et d’Explotation des Pétroles en Tunisie ) as a process engineer and then as OIM ( Offshore Installation manager ) of Ashtart Platforms.

In 1996 he integrated the Tunisian National Oil Company ( ETAP ) as area Manager in charge of the management of the offshore oilfields in Tunisia.
In 2004, Mr. Naoufel Khabthani has been appointed as technical manager with SMIP ( Société de Maintenance d’Installations Pétrolières ).
Since 2012, Mr. Naoufel Khabthani has been appointed Deputy General Manager of SMIP.

Dr. Habib TROUDI

Dr. Troudi, Senior Expert Geoscientist, with up to 30 years of demonstrated experience in oil and gas upstream industry. Skilled in Petroleum Exploration & Business Development with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Petroleum Geology from Tunisia University.

Has held several management positions at national and International oil companies such as ETAP NOC Tunisia, OMV, Pioneer Natural Resources, Petrocanada and Numhyd arl; the last two position were Exploration Geoscience Team Leader with OMV and Exploration Advisor with ETAP NOC Tunisia. Leading with international experts of many new venture projects to evaluate new exploration and near field opportunities in Middle-east and North Africa basins.

Author and co-author of more than 50 papers dealing with all exploration topics dealing with carbonate and clastic reservoirs, tight gas and unconventional plays. Leader of numerous fieldtrips for the account of international oil companies and conferences.

Dr. Hayfa ELKADHI

Dr. Hayfa ELKADHI is an Internal Auditor at Tunisia National Oil Company. She received his BSc in Business Studies (2006) and MSc in Finance (2009) from Institute of Advanced Business Studies of Carthage (IHEC Carthage-Tunisia).

She received his Ph.D. in Economics (2019) from both University of Clermont Auvergne (France) and IHEC CarthageTunisia. Her research focuses on Renewable Energy and on environmental economics. She got a certificate on Sustainable Energy Finance from Frankfurt school of finance & management UNEP on 2015. She got the Gold Award of the Best student paper in the International Conference and Utility Exhibition 2014 (Asian Institute of Technology).
